I have met the higher standard Of being a competent, Ethical and independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist with the BACP and am Accredited by BACP and Professionally Accredited by NCPS.

I am now a Bupa recognised therapist and can work with Bupa patients, with a pre-authorisation number. I am also approve by many other Heathen Insurance companies which may be able to fund your therapy if you have a suitable policy.

I am based in a nice quiet area of the Southside of Scarborough just past the University.

I offer a private quiet space allowing you to talk freely, and openly, at your own speed. An Integrative based Counselling Service, which is mainly Person-centred/Humanistic approach with some elements of other Counselling models like CBT, Solution Focused Therapy for example.

Therapy Pets are also available to enhance your therapeutic experience (for details see the about me section or click on the Animal Assisted Therapy  tab in the above menu)

Jane is a very down to earth woman that makes you feel welcome and comfortable the moment you step in the door. I entered the therapy somewhat nervous and skeptical, soon finding my feet and feeling as though I can confess the world to her without judgement. I was really dubious and going for counselling initially but Jane made me feel totally reassured. Jane is so easy to talk to and is a lovely friendly person. The therapy room was lovely and welcoming and what I would describe the art work as 'a room with a view'. Jane listened attentively to my story and worries. She used technique using shells to enable me to visualise support/friends around me, and to help me open up. During my therapy I had some time with the therapy animals, which helped me relax and this really cheered me up. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jane as a Counsellor.
