Accredited Integrative Therapist, Clinical Supervisor & Trauma Specialist

Hello, I’m Jane, a BACP Accredited Integrative TherapistNCPS Senior Accredited Clinical Supervisor, and Trauma Specialist, providing counselling, psychotherapy, trauma therapy, and clinical supervision for adolescents (11+) and adults both online and in person in Scarborough.

With over a decade of counselling experience since starting in 2009 and qualifying in 2013 and working as a qualified supervisor since 2020, I offer a compassionate, collaborative, and professional space where people can feel safe to explore challenges, gain clarity, and create meaningful change.

Clients and supervisees often describe me as warm, approachable, genuine, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy and supervision work best when they are grounded in trust, authenticity, and a genuine human connection. My aim is to provide a supportive, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

My Approach

My approach is from a person centred way whereby you choose the agenda. This can be about you, your circumstances, a holistic view of your life, looking at training and CPD, your clients, your future development, Ethical dilemmas, consultation of my expertise, supporting you in any way I can, etc.

Im integrative so I can draw on many different modalities. My supervision training was the One Eyed Model but I was naturally drawn to Halloway’s 1995 Systemic Model of supervision. This is properly due to my past experience in social care and nursing, Childminding and Foster caring.

What’s important is that we work together collaboratively with no power dynamic imbalances. I want you to feel free to discuss anything without fear of reprisal. I am very chilled, approachable, have a good sense of humour and im not afraid of swearing. In this role sometimes I know when you need to offload or swear, so dont worry I wont stand n your way.  I am very motivated and im told I give lots of encouragement and am good at confidence building. I am laid back but Im not afraid to challenge when needed.  I have worked with lots of people with imposter syndrome and successfully supported Counsellors to grow and develop into confident practitioners with thriving private practices.
